What is 12a Virgin hair?

  • This hair has never been chemically processed. It hasn't been dyed, bleached, permed, or treated with any chemicals. To achieve our curl and wave patterns, ONLY steam has been used. Virgin hair typically comes from a single donor, ensuring consistency in texture, color, and quality. It can be bleached to #27. Longevity up to one year.

What is Raw hair?

  • Raw hair is collected and used in its natural state. It is not subjected to any chemical processes like coloring, perming, or texturizing, which helps maintain the hair’s natural texture, strength, and sheen.
  • Our raw hair comes from a single donor, ensuring that the hair has a consistent texture, color, and cuticle alignment. In some cases, it might come from a few donors, but the hair is still cut with cuticles intact and aligned (which is essential for preventing tangling). It can be bleached to 613. Longevity two+ years.

Shedding

There is no way around it, ALL hair sheds. Including our own natural hair. To minimize shedding, we suggest the following.

  • Proper installation
  • Gentle washing with a sulfate-free shampoo or co-washing with deep conditioner. Avoid frequent washing as it will strip the extensions of it's natural oils and lead to dryness and breakage.
  • Brush carefully with a detangling brush or wide tooth comb. Always start from the tip and work. your way up to avoid excessive pulling.
  • Avoid excessive heat and use a heat protectant
  • Sleep with silk or satin pillow case or bonnet for protection
  • Do not bleach or color extensions too frequently
  • Get regular maintenance on your install
  • Use leave-in conditioners and detanglers
